JUNIOR REGISTRATION 2024

WELCOME TO PONSONBY JUNIOR RUGBY 2024!!   Our rugby club will be marking it's 150th anniversray in 2024 and there is no better way to celebrate than watching our Juniors run out every Saturday creating their own piece of history! Ponsonby Rugby's rich history includes winning the coveted Gallaher Shield 35 times as well as producing more All Blacks than any other club in New Zealand, including Akira and Reiko Ioane, Patrick Tuipulotu and Caleb Clarke!

We take great pride in sporting one of the largest junior clubs in the country focused on creating endless opportunities for fun, camaraderie and participation among our junior boys and girls, in both tackle and non-tackle codes. Online registrations for Ponsonby Junior Rugby's 2024 season is now open.​​​​​​​

2024 Fees   All new and returning players are required to register for the 2024 season. Registration will not be accepted unless payment is made at the completion of this form. If you are registering more than one sibling then a payment will need to be made at the completion of each player's form. 

Player fees Include a Commemorative 150th Anniversary Club Boot Bag for each junior player. These will be available to collect when your child is weighed at our Family Muster Day on Thursday 18th March, from 5pm at Ponsonby Rugby's Clubrooms.

Which area do my kids register for? Ponsonby Rugby is proud to field teams across two catchment areas:

- Ponsonby and surrounding suburbs-   all 'City' home games are played at Western Springs Outer Fields or Cox's Bay.

- Ponsonby Kelston and surrounding West Auckland areas:   all 'PK' home games are played at Archibald Park in Kelston.

PONSONBY JUNIOR RUGBY FEES:

1 Player only or 1st Sibling  - $135   **EARLY BIRD SPECIAL- $120 For Registerations Completed Before February 14

2nd Player (must be siblings) - $99 - pay this amount on completion of second child's rego form

3rd Players (must be siblings) - $99 - pay this amount on completion of third child's rego form 

4th or more Players (must be siblings) - $50 - pay this amount on completion of third child's rego form

Note: Players must be siblings to be eligable for multiple child fees.

​​​​​​​TRAINING   Team training days and time will be advised by your coach once you have been allocated a team.  Team lists will be finalised in early April 2024. ​​​​​​​

JUNIOR FAMILY MUSTER DAY / WEIGH-IN   It is an Auckland Rugby Union  requirement that all Junior players competing in the 'tackle grade' must be weighed prior to the start of the season. If you are registering for the first time please bring your child's passport or birth certificate for their weigh-in.

Thursday 15th March,  5pm-8pm - Clubrooms, Western Springs

Monday 18th March, 5pm-8pm - Clubrooms, Western Springs

Monday 18th March, 4pm-5pm - Archibald Park, Kelston  *no merchandise available

Further Weigh-In Dates will be announced for Western Springs and Kelston soon
